Literally. An entire year since last time I posted on this page. But it’s not for lack of activity. In fact, quite the opposite. 2021 was a year of new horizons for me, and I hope that 2022 will be, as well.

Towards the end of 2020, I took a new job with a new company and was terrified to step into that role. I spent all of 2021 trying to figure out how to do my new job. Studying, learning, and growing in my role with a start-up company that has taught me more than I ever thought it would.

My goal for 2022 is to learn just as much and grow even more. Although the landscape is continually changing, I try to embrace every change and internalize it. I want to be the one who learns from each mistake, as well as each victory. Being stagnant isn’t an option for me, as idle hands are the devil’s workshop.

2022 offers a new adventure in real estate investing. My husband and I purchased a fix & flip property in Gulfport, Florida, and are excited to get started with the work. It needs a new roof, new AC, renovated kitchen, refinished floors, and a complete demo and rebuild of the master suite. Of course I couldn’t choose an easy flip for my first one! It’s going to be an AMAZING experience, probably full of blood, sweat, and tears.

Do we know ANYTHING about this process? No.

Are we learning as much as possible? Yes.

That’s what’s so exciting about it! This had been a dream of mine for at least 20 years, maybe more. Now it’s becoming a reality and all I can say is THANK YOU! Thanks to my mom, my sister, my husband, my mentors, and my coaches for helping me make it come true.
